About Cyndil Tanner

Cyndil Tanner was born in Spokane, WA; where she spent most of her life until she went to college in Idaho. She received a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in illustration at Brigham Young University Idaho, in 2010. During her studies she took a two-year hiatus where she went on a mission for her church in Geneva, Switzerland and France. While there, she became fluent in French and interacted with more then twenty different cultures. After finishing her mission she returned to school and finished. Currently, she is about to go teach English in South Korea. She plans to write a couple Graphic Novels while there.

Cyndil has a passion for sequential art and character design. Intrigued by the world around her; she has written many graphic novels including Magicbound, Trois Amies, and Boys versus Girls. She is also a freelance Illustrator, her style is line driven with ink washes. Her inspiration comes from the art of Arthur Rackham, Alphonse Mucha, and Peter de Seve. She has done work for the David O. McKay Library as a student artist; commissioned to do posters, maps on their website and multiple other projects. In multimedia she has designed the website for the Family Foot Center and her own website.
